Hostivař reservoir (Hostivařská přehrada) is a dammed lake on the Botič stream in Prague 10, surrounded by the Hostivař forest park. It is the city's best-known lake bathing complex. The paid summer resort on the shore has a main beach of lawns and a long sandy strip that enters the water gradually. There is also a pier, water slides, sports courts, rental pedalos and paddleboards, food stalls, showers and toilets. The complex also includes a nudist beach. The City of Prague's tourism office describes it as completely separate, and local guides place it as the smaller rear beach on the south shore. Woodland screens it from the main beach, and it is reached most directly from the Jižní Město and Petrovice side. It is part of the same ticketed resort, with the same opening season and hours. Being in the city, it fills up on hot summer weekends, while weekday mornings are calmer. Water quality is monitored by Prague's public health authority during the season. Dogs are not allowed anywhere in the resort.

Borovinka is a pond on the outskirts of Jihlava, the regional capital of Vysočina in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. CzechTourism's Kudy z nudy portal names it, together with the quarries near Lipnice nad Sázavou, as one of the places in Vysočina where people can still bathe without swimwear, in an article about the better-known naturist beach at Velké Dářko. Beyond that mention, little is published about the spot: there is no designated, signposted nude section, no operator and no lifeguard, and it appears to belong to the many informal 'wild' naturist places in Czechia that are kept up by their users rather than a municipality. Expect a natural pond shore rather than a managed beach, a mostly local crowd, and possibly some clothed bathers. Water quality at many Vysočina ponds is not tested by the health authorities, so swimming is at your own risk.

The Bedřichov reservoir, built between 1902 and 1906 on the Černá Nisa stream, sits at about 775 m in the Jizera Mountains roughly 3 km north of Bedřichov and 13 km from Liberec. It is described as the highest-lying dam in Bohemia. The water is clear and reaches about 15 m deep, and the shores are wooded, with grassy and rocky patches rather than a built beach. In summer the lake works as a natural swimming spot, and the Jablonec tourist information service states that swimming is possible with or without a swimsuit; a geocaching guide to the dam also notes that naturists seek the water out. There is no marked nude section: people who swim nude tend to spread out along the quieter banks away from the dam crest and the paths, especially towards the inflow end. The reservoir is inside the Jizera Mountains protected landscape area, closed to cars, so it stays fairly calm compared with lowland bathing lakes. Since 2013 a barrier-free path with two viewpoints and information boards has run along the shore. Expect cold water even in July, given the altitude.

Branická louka is a broad grassy meadow on the right bank of the Vltava in Braník, Prague 4, on the southern stretch of the city's riverbanks. The main meadow, known as Branická pláž, is a popular picnic and sunbathing lawn beside the A2 cycle path, with a seasonal snack bar (Cactus Café) that usually opens on warm afternoons. CzechTourism's Kudy z nudy portal notes that the 'nudapláž Braník', a low-key natural nude spot used mostly by locals, lies immediately next to it, just upstream along the bank. This is not a fenced or managed nude beach like Prague's paid lidos: it is an informal stretch of riverbank grass where people sunbathe nude and slip into the river directly from the bank. Swimming in the Vltava here is not supervised and the bank is not prepared for bathers, so check depth and current before going in. The cycle path brings a steady stream of passers-by, so the area is not secluded, and on hot weekends the main meadow gets busy.

Jezero Lhota is a flooded former sandpit near the village of Lhota, between Brandys nad Labem-Stara Boleslav and Mlada Boleslav, roughly 30 km northeast of Prague. Clear turquoise water, white sand and surrounding pine woods have earned it the nickname of a Czech 'Caribbean'. The whole site is fenced and run commercially, with paid entry and paid parking. Its nudist beach is one of the best known in the country and dates back to the communist era; Czech press describe it as the first public nudist beach in the former Czechoslovakia and as the largest in the Czech Republic today. According to the operator, the nude area takes up the entire eastern shore of the lake and part of the northern shore, giving more than 500 m of sandy beach. A screen separates it from the clothed beaches, and it has its own toilet block and two refreshment kiosks. The lake shelves off sand, and swimming is at your own risk; the operating rules do not mention a lifeguard. Dogs and other animals are banned from the site. Hot summer weekends bring large crowds from Prague to the lake as a whole, and the nude section draws a broad mix of visitors, which is why it is often recommended to people trying nude bathing for the first time.

The Lipnice quarries (Lipnicke lomy) are a group of flooded former granite quarries around the small town of Lipnice nad Sazavou in the Vysocina region, below its well-known castle. Since quarrying ended, several of the pits have filled with very clear water and are used for summer swimming, set among woods and granite walls; the most popular swimming quarry is known locally as 'jednicka' (number one) and lies near a parliamentary recreation centre, about 600 m from the castle and town. CzechTourism's Kudy z nudy portal names the quarries near Lipnice among the places in Vysocina where people swim without swimwear. There is no designated or signed nude beach: this is informal nude bathing at wild swimming spots with no facilities, and clothed swimmers use the same quarries. Visitors describe the setting as beautiful and fairly quiet. Information is limited, so check conditions locally.

The Motol natural swimming pond (Přírodní koupaliště Motol) sits in Prague 5, a few metres from Motol hospital, hidden behind trees, shrubs and reeds off Zahradníčkova street. The pond covers about 4,100 m² and has flowing water. Prague's hygiene service checks the water regularly, and it is consistently rated among the cleanest bathing waters in the city. The lake bed is sandy and drops gently toward the dam, where the water is about 3 m deep. The bathing area is a fairly narrow grassy strip, roughly 20 by 60 m, shaded by mature trees. The right-hand part of the grassy beach is set aside for nudists. The rest of the lawn is a family swimming area with a children's corner, trampoline, slide and sandpit, so clothed and nude visitors share the site with a clear split. There is a lifeguard, and table tennis and volleyball are available. A new year-round building with saunas, changing rooms, toilets, a café and a wellness area was under construction in 2026, and mobile facilities were used in the meantime. Whether the nudist section continues once the building opens has not been announced.

Fojtka is a small reservoir on the Fojtka stream in Mníšek, in the wooded foothills of the Jizera Mountains southwest of Liberec. It was built in 1904-1906, mainly for flood control, behind a masonry dam about 11 m high and 146 m long. Recreation was part of the plan from the start, and the water is now used for swimming, fishing and picnics on grassy banks. The nude area is on the west bank, and the Jizera Mountains tourist region names it as a nudist beach in its own description of the reservoir. The lake bed is sandy and slopes gently, so the water is easy to get into. It is fed by mountain water and is known for being colder than other swimming spots around Liberec. Facilities are minimal: a small snack bar or a seasonal stand near the dam, and no permanent toilets at the water. Entry is free. The reservoir is a common stop on hiking and cycling routes in the hills around Mníšek and Fojtka.

Velké Dářko is the largest pond in the Vysočina highlands, a large body of water in the Žďárské vrchy hills north of Žďár nad Sázavou, with forest along much of its shore. The naturist beach is on the east shore near the village of Škrdlovice, on a mostly sandy stretch backed by woods. It is one of the best-known naturist spots in the Czech Republic, and CzechTourism's Kudy z nudy portal ranks it among the ten most popular. Nude bathing has gone on here since about the 1980s. For a period naturists were kept off this stretch and officially moved to the end of the campsite by the dam, toward a bay, but hardly anyone used that spot, and the east-shore beach came back into use. The main textile facilities are at the Velké Dářko campsite and the dam, where there is parking and the main walking junction. The nude beach itself has little more than sand, trees and water.

Větřkovická přehrada is a small, compact reservoir in the hills between Kopřivnice and Hukvaldy, near the village of Lubina in the Moravian-Silesian Region. It was built in the 1970s to supply process water to the Tatra truck works in Kopřivnice and has since become a local summer swimming spot. The main beach is a grassy lawn with gentle entry into the water, and there is a playground by the dam, a summer snack stand, boat and pedalo hire, and seasonal toilets. A quieter naturist stretch lies on one of the shores away from the main lawn. Our sources do not say which shore, so ask locals or look for the less busy bank. Nude bathing here goes back at least to 2007, when the national press listed the reservoir as an unofficial nudist beach in the Ostrava area where nude bathers outnumbered clothed ones. Fishing is allowed with a permit, and a triathlon is held on the reservoir each August.

Brno Reservoir (Brněnská přehrada, known locally as Prýgl) is a long reservoir on the Svratka river on the northwestern edge of Brno, surrounded by wooded slopes, and it is the city's main summer swimming area. Naturists have long used two places on its banks. The better-known one is the beach Za osadou on the northern shore, which has its own stop for the reservoir's passenger boats, so you can arrive by water. Lists of Czech nude beaches call it 'Brněnská přehrada - Osada'. The second, Slunečná pláž - Pod Tanečkovým, is on the opposite bank. Both are informal sunbathing spots on natural shoreline among the trees, with no facilities of their own. Food, drink and toilets are at the main beaches and the boat stops. The reservoir is busy in summer, and water quality varies from year to year, so check the current bathing-water report before swimming.

Šeberák (Šeberovský rybník) is the largest pond in Kunratice, on the southern edge of Prague 4 next to the Kunratice Forest, and one of the city's best-known natural bathing places; swimming has gone on here, with breaks, since 1933. The managed lido on the pond has a sandy beach with a gentle entry, grassy areas, changing rooms, showers, toilets, a restaurant on the south-west side and courts for volleyball and nohejbal. The nude area is on the south-east shore, outside the lido: Kudy z nudy, the national tourism agency's guide, describes it as one of the oldest nudist beaches in the country, dating from the 1980s. According to a 2009 report, the eastern land passed to a private owner in restitution, so nude bathers there undress informally rather than in an officially marked zone and cannot use the lido's toilets, showers or snack bar; the shore there is grassier, with reeds at the waterline. The pond is chlorine-free and the hygiene service tests the water regularly during the season. The City of Prague bought the pond in 2017. Expect a mix of long-time regulars and city dwellers on hot days.

Klůček is one of the main beaches on Máchovo jezero (Mácha Lake), the large medieval fishpond on the edge of Doksy in the Liberec Region, a classic summer resort in northern Bohemia. The beach sits beside pine woods next to Autokemp Klůček, a forest campsite about 500 metres from the lake shore, and it has long been the main stage area of a summer dance-music festival held in Doksy. A TV Nova (TN.cz) guide to Czech naturist sites lists 'Máchovo jezero – pláž Klůček' among the officially marked n-pláže (naturist beaches) of the Liberec area, so nude bathing has a history here; the exact marked section of shore is not described in any source we could read. The national bathing-water register lists Klůček as a monitored bathing site run by Regata Máchovo jezero with a restaurant, showers, toilets and a campsite. The town of Doksy has since taken over management of its two busiest beaches, the main beach and Klůček, and presented a redevelopment study, so arrangements may change; check signs on arrival.

Opaťák (Opatovický písník) is a flooded gravel pit at Opatovice nad Labem, between Pardubice and Hradec Králové in eastern Bohemia, and the largest of several flooded quarries in the municipality. It was laid out in 1962 as a recreation area that also stored water for irrigating surrounding fields. The lake has several separate beaches, one of which is a nudist beach; a snack stand operates right by it. Mapy.com classifies the spot as an unofficial naturist beach with a mainly naturist crowd and free entry, and a Czech lifestyle guide to nude bathing names Opaťák as the best-known option near Hradec Králové, describing it as informal rather than polished: part campsite, part water, part improvisation. The water is generally described as clean and clear. Besides swimming, the lake is used for kayaking, paddleboarding, windsurfing, wakeboarding and fishing for carp, pike-perch and pike, so expect a mix of activities around the shore.

Jezero is the natural swimming lake on the edge of the spa town of Poděbrady in the Nymburk district of Central Bohemia, a former sand pit of about 27 hectares that the town runs as a summer bathing site. It has grassy and sandy beaches with a gradual slope into the water, so it suits non-swimmers and children. The nude beach is on the eastern part of the site, separated from the other beaches by a hedge and a line of trees, so naturists and clothed bathers each have their own space. The rest of the complex is well equipped: showers, changing cabins and toilets, a drinking fountain, boat and pedal-boat hire in summer, beach volleyball and nohejbal courts, a playground, several restaurants and a campsite for tents and caravans. Water quality is tested every two weeks during the season. Outside summer the lake is quiet and used by a year-round cold-water swimming club.

Stříbrný rybník, known locally as Stříbrňák, is the largest pond around Hradec Králové and the city's main natural lido. It lies about 5 km east of the centre, in woodland between the districts of Malšova Lhota and Svinary, and is run as a recreation area with a campsite and chalets next to the water. The main bathing area is a sandy beach with a gentle, shallow entry, which suits children and weak swimmers. Alongside it the site has a designated nudist beach, which a regional travel guide calls one of the few official ones in the Hradec Králové region, and the regional tourism portal lists the nudist beach among the site's facilities. The sources we found do not say exactly which part of the shore the nude area occupies, so look for signs or ask at the site on arrival. In summer the lido is busy with families, cyclists and campers from the city; a restaurant with a terrace, kiosks, changing rooms, showers and toilets are on site, and there is boat, kayak and pedalo hire plus a water slide. Swimming is free, and dogs are allowed in the water.

The Tatrovice reservoir (Tatrovická přehrada) sits in the western Ore Mountains foothills north of Sokolov, in the Karlovy Vary region. It is fed by two clean streams, one from the Přebuz direction and one from the meadows, and its water is known for being clear and cold, around 19 °C in summer, reaching about 25 m deep by the dam. Officially it is a water-supply reservoir for the Sokolov coal company, so in hot, dry summers the level drops. The reservoir is best known regionally for its nude beach, a tradition that a 2009 newspaper report says began with the first holidaymakers and was tolerated even under communism. The nude beach itself is small, with stone walls and terraces that the regulars built and maintain themselves and sandy entries into the water; when it fills up, people spread onto the grassy meadows around it. Visitors in swimwear and without it share the shore. There are no formal facilities, only the cottages of local residents nearby.

This is the flooded former sandpit between the villages of Tišice and Mlékojedy, near Neratovice on the Elbe plain north of Prague. It is one of the busier natural swimming spots near the capital: a long, narrow beach runs beside the road from Tišice to Mlékojedy, with grassy and sandy stretches, a kiosk nearby and quieter corners elsewhere around the shore. The lake is developed for recreation, with several bars, beach volleyball courts, a floating climbing wall, a water-ski jump and a wakeboard cable, many of them paid. Nude bathers have their own customary area near the water-ski jump tower, according to a 2021 CNN Prima News guide to swimming spots near Prague; it is not a fenced or signed naturist beach, so expect clothed and nude bathers within sight of each other. The water is clean by sandpit standards. Dogs are allowed.

Vesecký rybník, officially Mlýnský rybník and known locally as Tajch, is a woodland pond in the Vesec district on the southern edge of Liberec. It sits in a quiet valley of forest and sandstone rocks crossed by cycling and walking trails, and the valley is noted for its insect and wildlife diversity. There is no formal beach: people lay out blankets on the mown meadow, in the trees or on the sandstone shore. According to a 2009 e15.cz feature, the back part of the meadow is a popular spot with Liberec's nudists, while swimmers, walkers and anglers use the rest; in winter the frozen pond fills with skaters. The water was described as clean as long as there is no long heatwave. There are no attractions, rentals, lighting or showers; the only toilet is in a small seasonal restaurant beside the pond. This information is old and we found no recent confirmation, so nude use may have changed.

The Čelákovice sandpits, known as the Malvíny pits, are a cluster of flooded former gravel and sand workings in the Elbe floodplain between Čelákovice and Lázně Toušeň, about 30 km north-east of Prague. They are an undeveloped, free swimming area: there are generally no food stalls or toilets, just water, sandy and grassy banks and scrub. A 2021 CNN Prima News guide to swimming spots near Prague notes that one of the pits has an unofficial nudist beach. We found no signage or description of exactly which bank the nude bathers use, so ask locally or look for where others are bathing nude. Bring water and everything else you need, as nothing is sold on site.
