About Naturistická nudapláž Brněnská přehrada
Brno Reservoir (Brněnská přehrada, known locally as Prýgl) is a long reservoir on the Svratka river on the northwestern edge of Brno, surrounded by wooded slopes, and it is the city's main summer swimming area. Naturists have long used two places on its banks. The better-known one is the beach Za osadou on the northern shore, which has its own stop for the reservoir's passenger boats, so you can arrive by water. Lists of Czech nude beaches call it 'Brněnská přehrada - Osada'. The second, Slunečná pláž - Pod Tanečkovým, is on the opposite bank. Both are informal sunbathing spots on natural shoreline among the trees, with no facilities of their own. Food, drink and toilets are at the main beaches and the boat stops. The reservoir is busy in summer, and water quality varies from year to year, so check the current bathing-water report before swimming.
Getting there
Take Brno tram 1 to the Přístaviště stop by the dam. From there the summer passenger boats run along the reservoir and stop at Osada, next to the Za osadou naturist beach on the north shore. You can also walk or cycle along the shore paths from Bystrc. Parking near the dam and in Bystrc is busy on hot days. The shore paths are natural and uneven, and there are no facilities at the nude spots themselves.
Amenities
Legal context
National media lists of Czech nude beaches include 'Brněnská přehrada - Osada', and a 2015 Masaryk University magazine article names Za osadou and Pod Tanečkovým as naturist spots. We found no official city designation or signage. Czech law does not ban nudity as such.
Naturism at Naturistická nudapláž Brněnská přehrada sits under Czechia's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
Researched 24 October 2026. No official source confirms naturist status, so treat it as unverified.
