About STŘÍBRNÝ RYBNÍK
Stříbrný rybník, known locally as Stříbrňák, is the largest pond around Hradec Králové and the city's main natural lido. It lies about 5 km east of the centre, in woodland between the districts of Malšova Lhota and Svinary, and is run as a recreation area with a campsite and chalets next to the water. The main bathing area is a sandy beach with a gentle, shallow entry, which suits children and weak swimmers. Alongside it the site has a designated nudist beach, which a regional travel guide calls one of the few official ones in the Hradec Králové region, and the regional tourism portal lists the nudist beach among the site's facilities. The sources we found do not say exactly which part of the shore the nude area occupies, so look for signs or ask at the site on arrival. In summer the lido is busy with families, cyclists and campers from the city; a restaurant with a terrace, kiosks, changing rooms, showers and toilets are on site, and there is boat, kayak and pedalo hire plus a water slide. Swimming is free, and dogs are allowed in the water.
Getting there
The pond is about 5 km east of central Hradec Králové. City buses stop at the 'Stříbrný rybník' stop next to the site, and a network of paved forest cycle and inline-skating paths runs out from the city. Drivers can use the paid car park directly at the recreation area. From the car park and bus stop it is a short, flat walk to the beach. The water entry is not formally adapted for wheelchair users.

Legal context
The Hradec Králové Region tourism portal lists a nudist beach among the facilities of the Stříbrný rybník recreation area, and a travel guide describes it as an official nudist beach (seen 2026). Czech law has no general ban on nudity; nude bathing in public becomes a problem only if it is judged to breach public order or offend others, which is a minor administrative offence rather than a crime. Keep nude use within the designated section.
Naturism at STŘÍBRNÝ RYBNÍK sits under Czechia's rules for officially designated nude beaches — explicit protection inside the marked area.
Naturist status confirmed against an official source on 24 October 2026.
