About Naturistická nudapláž Šeberák

Šeberák (Šeberovský rybník) is the largest pond in Kunratice, on the southern edge of Prague 4 next to the Kunratice Forest, and one of the city's best-known natural bathing places; swimming has gone on here, with breaks, since 1933. The managed lido on the pond has a sandy beach with a gentle entry, grassy areas, changing rooms, showers, toilets, a restaurant on the south-west side and courts for volleyball and nohejbal. The nude area is on the south-east shore, outside the lido: Kudy z nudy, the national tourism agency's guide, describes it as one of the oldest nudist beaches in the country, dating from the 1980s. According to a 2009 report, the eastern land passed to a private owner in restitution, so nude bathers there undress informally rather than in an officially marked zone and cannot use the lido's toilets, showers or snack bar; the shore there is grassier, with reeds at the waterline. The pond is chlorine-free and the hygiene service tests the water regularly during the season. The City of Prague bought the pond in 2017. Expect a mix of long-time regulars and city dwellers on hot days.

Getting there

Šeberák is at K Šeberáku, Praha 4 - Kunratice. Bus 114 from Kačerov metro station (line C) stops within sight of the pond; check current routes on IDOS. From the stop, walk around the pond to the south-east shore for the nude area. Paths around the pond are flat but unpaved in places.

Legal context

Czech law has no specific ban on nudity; it can be treated as a minor offence only if it causes public outrage, so nude bathing is tolerated on established spots like this. The nude area at Šeberák is not officially marked; the lido's facilities belong to the separate managed bathing area.

Naturism at Naturistická nudapláž Šeberák sits under Czechia's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.

Naturist status confirmed against an official source on 24 October 2026.
