Harčáš (Komárno)
InformalHarčáš (Veľký and Malý Harčáš) is a recreation area on the western edge of Komárno in southern Slovakia, near the Danube, with gravel beaches and water-filled former gravel pits. It appears in Wikipedia's list of Slovak places used for nude bathing, which draws on the Slovak naturist association's list of locations. Nude use is informal and unsigned, so choose secluded spots away from families and anglers. No current source describes the exact nude area, so check locally before undressing, and bring water, as facilities are limited.
Jazero Geča (Lake Geča)
InformalLake Geča (Gečianske jazero) is a lake by the village of Geča in the Hornád valley, a short drive southeast of Košice in eastern Slovakia. Slovak media list it among the country's established nude bathing spots, describing it as a favourite of naturists from the Košice area where you can both sunbathe and swim; the water is shared with plenty of fish, including carp. The nude use is informal and local, with no organised facilities on the naturist shore. We found few further specifics about the exact section, length of shoreline or crowd levels, so check locally on arrival.
Krytá plaváreň a nudapláž
InformalKrytá plaváreň a nudapláž is a nudist-friendly beach in Slovakia. Nudity is optional.
Liptovská Mara Nudist Beach
InformalLiptovská Mara is Slovakia's largest reservoir by volume, a broad lake in the Liptov basin between the Western Tatras and the Low Tatras, west of Liptovský Mikuláš. Its main beaches are textile: a paid beach at the Liptovský Trnovec campsite on the north shore, a free beach at Liptovská Sielnica, and since 2025 a public beach run by Liptovský Mikuláš on the east shore. Nude sunbathing happens informally on quieter, natural stretches of the shoreline away from these beaches; a 2012 TV JOJ report found people sunbathing without swimwear there, and a Komoot highlight marks a nudist spot by the lake, but no source pins down a fixed location. Expect natural banks rather than a groomed beach, no facilities, and a lake that is cool until high summer, with mountain views across the water. Parts of the shore lie in protected areas, so check local rules.
Nové Košariská
InformalThe Nové Košariská lakes are flooded gravel pits near Dunajská Lužná and Rovinka, about 20 km south-east of Bratislava. The clear water reaches depths of over 40 m, which makes the lakes popular with divers, and the main beach has deck-chair rental, snack bars, toilets and a car park. Wikipedia's list of Slovak places used for nude bathing includes Nové Košariská. Nude use is informal and unsigned, so keep to quiet parts of the shore away from the main beach, and check the local situation first.
Ratnovská zátoka (Sĺňava)
InformalRatnovská zátoka is a bay on the Sĺňava reservoir on the river Váh, just north of the spa town of Piešťany in western Slovakia. It is often described as the oldest nudist beach in Slovakia, used by nude bathers since the 1980s. The bottom of the reservoir is muddy, so the beach is used mainly for relaxing and sunbathing rather than swimming. It is an informal, unsigned nude area without facilities, so bring what you need. The town and its spa parks are a short trip away.
Rusovce Lake
InformalThe Rusovce lakes (Rusovské jazerá) are two former water reservoirs in Bratislava's southernmost borough, close to the Danube and the Austrian and Hungarian borders, set in floodplain forest. The main lake is roughly 200 by 200 metres with an irregular shoreline of small peninsulas and an island, and nudists use those peninsulas, the island and the smaller second lake. Clear water and tree cover mean shade is available even at midday, and Slovak media call it the most popular nude spot among Bratislava naturists. The tradition is old: reports say people have bathed and sunbathed nude here for about 50 years, including under socialism. Visitors sometimes wade to the island, occasionally carrying bicycles over their heads. A cycle route runs past the beach area, which has been a source of friction. In June 2024 the borough, citing police complaints about voyeurism and harassment of visitors, proposed a by-law banning nude bathing in public spaces; nudists opposed it, and we could not confirm whether it passed.
Slnečné jazerá Nude Beach (Senec)
InformalNude bathing area at Slnečné jazerá, the Sunny Lakes recreation area in Senec, about 25 km north-east of Bratislava. The five lakes were formed by gravel extraction and are surrounded by beaches, campsites and holiday cottages, with a family textile atmosphere in the main zones. Campsite listings include a nudist beach among the area's amenities, and the Slovak naturist association lists the gravel pit by the lakes as a nude bathing spot. The nearby Aquathermal complex offers thermal pools all year.
Zelená voda
InformalZelená voda (Green Water) is a flooded gravel-pit lake and resort about 2 km from Nové Mesto nad Váhom in western Slovakia. Around the water are a hotel, bungalows, a campsite, a beach bar and courts for tennis, beach volleyball and minigolf, and the town monitors bathing-water quality each season. Wikipedia's list of Slovak places used for nude bathing includes Zelená voda, but the main beaches are family areas and no current source marks a nude section. Use quiet parts of the shore only, and swim with care, as the lake is large.
Zlaté Piesky
InformalZlaté piesky (Golden Sands) is a former gravel-pit lake on the north-eastern edge of Bratislava, in the Ružinov district close to the D1 motorway. The lake covers about 50 hectares and is run, together with a 28-hectare recreation area, by the city's sports and recreation administration STaRZ. The main bathing area on the campsite side is fenced and charges an entry fee, with sandy beaches, snack bars, a campsite and water sports. A separate part of the shore, on the unfenced side of the lake, has long been used for nude bathing and is free to enter. Unlike the sandy paid beach, the nude section is stony, so a mat or thick towel helps. It is a local lake rather than a destination beach: the people who use it are mainly Bratislava residents coming after work or at weekends, and Slovak press has noted that the nude side tends to be kept cleaner than the textile beaches. A city-approved redevelopment of the wider area, with a promenade and new pool, was announced in 2025, so layouts may change.
Čunovo Lakes Nude Beach
InformalThe Čunovo lakes are flooded gravel pits on the southern edge of Bratislava, near the Danube and the Hungarian border, inside the Dunajské luhy protected landscape area and the Ostrovné lúčky nature reserve. Together with the lake at neighbouring Rusovce, they were among the first places chosen by Slovakia's pioneering nudists, and the shore is still used for nude sunbathing on hot days. Officially, however, bathing here is forbidden: the reserve has the fourth level of protection, a visitor bathing zone created in 2009 was later cancelled by the regional environment office, and the shores hold rare plants including orchids. There are no facilities, no lifeguard and no managed beach.
Šútovo Lake Nude Beach
InformalŠútovské jazero, also called the Kraľovany flooded quarry, is a former stone quarry filled with water beside the Váh river between the village of Šútovo and Rieka, part of Kraľovany, in the Žilina region of northern Slovakia. Steep, terraced quarry walls drop into clear turquoise water, with the forested ridges of the Malá Fatra all around, which gives the place a striking, almost alpine look. The water stays cooler than at lowland lakes. There are two larger beaches with easy entry into the water and several smaller, more private spots that are harder to get into and out of. One of the beaches is a fenced nudist area, and a TV JOJ report once called it Slovakia's first official nude beach. Swimming is entirely at your own risk: there is no lifeguard and the quarry is deep. On hot summer weekends the lake gets crowded, and some visitors complain about litter and noisy groups; weekdays and early mornings are calmer.

Bešeňová Water Park (nudist beach area)
Informal / TraditionalBešeňová is a large year-round thermal water park in the Liptov region of northern Slovakia, in the village of the same name between Ružomberok and Liptovský Mikuláš, with views of the Low and Western Tatras. It is a mainstream family textile resort (also listed as Gino Paradise Bešeňová), with three indoor and thirteen outdoor pools filled from a geothermal borehole first drilled in 1987, nine outdoor water slides, children's slides, whirlpools, a hotel and a wellness area with saunas, a steam room, massages and evening sauna-ritual events. The Slovak national tourism portal says the resort added a pebble beach that includes a nudist area. No other details were found: the operator's own site does not mention it, and there is no information on where the area is, when it opens or whether it is still in use. Treat this as a textile water park with a small, unconfirmed nude zone and ask at the desk on arrival.

Laws & local rules in Slovakia
Slovakia has no explicit law prohibiting nudism, similar to regional neighbours. Thermal spa culture incorporates widespread mixed bathing and nudity acceptance, particularly in traditional Slovak spas. Open-air public nudism is informal and unstandardised, though spa facilities normalise naturism as a wellness practice.
