About Velanio Beach
Velanio is a small cove just beyond Stafylos beach on the south-east coast of Skopelos, backed by pine trees that come down almost to the water. The clothed part sits nearest Stafylos. The nude section lies past two large rocks at the far end, and its water is free of the stones that make entry awkward elsewhere. Swimsuits are optional and both groups share the bay without fuss. The water is clear and good for snorkelling. Local guides often call it the island's only nudist beach, so it can get busy in August.
Getting there
Drive or take a taxi to Stafylos beach, about 4 km from Skopelos Town, then follow the short coastal footpath with steps over the rocks at the far end of Stafylos. The walk takes a few minutes, though one guide quotes up to 25-30 minutes. Some people swim round instead.

Local tourism sites say it was 'officially declared' a nudist beach but name no authority, and no government or naturist-federation designation was found. Greece has no national register of designated nudist beaches; nudity is formally sanctioned only at licensed naturist establishments, but on remote or traditionally nude beaches it is widely tolerated, and police generally act only if someone complains.
