About Achivadolimni and Mavra Gremna

Achivadolimni is a long sandy beach on the inner shore of Milos Bay, east of the port of Adamas, below the slopes of Profitis Ilias. It is sheltered and shallow, with fine white sand, few stones and calm, warm water, and trees give some shade. One end has a beach bar with sunbeds; the rest is unorganised and quiet. Naturists use the eastern (right-hand, facing the sea) part, away from the bar, where there are several secluded pockets; this is informal use, not a designated area. North winds can make it unpleasant, and some plastic washes up at the western end.

Getting there

Achivadolimni is a few kilometres from Adamas along the bay road; park near the beach bar. Walk right (east) along the sand for the quieter, nude-used stretch. A car, scooter or quad is the easiest way to get there.

What visitors say

Reviewers like the calm, shallow water, soft sand and lack of crowds, and recommend walking east from the bar for more space and privacy, where some naturists sunbathe. Complaints include no toilets, wind on north-wind days and litter on the western end.
