About Växjö Nakenbad
Växjö's nude bath is at Stora Pene, on the shore of Lake Helgasjön on the northern edge of the city, north-west of the Hovshaga district. It sits within the Hovshaga nature reserve, where tall pines stand over small hidden coves and the islands of Helgasjön form the view; the city is not visible from the bathing spots. The municipality lists it as a naturist bath with a toilet, a barbecue area and a windbreak shelter, and the naturist federation's map also notes tables with benches. A jetty serves the naturist bath. It is a small lakeside bathing spot among the pines rather than a long sandy beach. Naturkartan dates the naturist bath in this area to 2015. Cattle graze the surrounding pastures, and in 2018 SVT reported that cows were wandering into the water among the naturists, prompting complaints that the municipality said it would look into. The bath is on the city's cycle network, a few hundred metres past Ryttaretorpet.
Getting there
From central Växjö drive towards Kronoberg castle; at the Lugnet roundabout turn left, after about 160 m turn right onto old Kronobergsvägen, and after another 190 m take the gravel road Byalagsvägen on the left, signposted 'Scoutstuga'. Follow it 1.2 km to the reserve car park, then walk about 200 m on the path along the right-hand side of the larger ditch. Cyclists reach it a few hundred metres past Ryttaretorpet. Address: Penevägen, 352 63 Växjö.

In 2018 naturists complained about grazing cattle entering the bathing area.
