About Plage de la Jenny
Plage de la Jenny is a stretch of the Gironde's Atlantic coast at Le Porge, between Lacanau and Cap Ferret, in front of the long-established La Jenny naturist holiday village. The setting is wild: several kilometres of fine sand backed by very high dunes and pine forest, with no buildings, snack stands or beach rentals in sight. The section on the left (south) as you reach the sea is used by the naturist village and is kept for full nudity, with a lifeguard post run for the village's guests; the beach to the right is open to everyone and is described as unsupervised. In practice nudity is common along both parts, with some clothed walkers mixed in. The beach attracts naturist couples and families from the village, day visitors from Bordeaux, and on weekends a noticeable gay crowd, with cruising reported in the dunes behind the beach. Like the rest of this coast it faces open Atlantic swell, so rips and strong shore break are a real hazard outside the supervised zone. It is a good choice for people who want a long walk on an empty, natural beach rather than facilities.
Getting there
From Le Porge, follow signs towards La Jenny; the last kilometres run on a narrow, poorly surfaced forest road. Car access to the naturist village itself needs a booking. Visitors report that the gate in front of the village has been closed and roadside parking restricted (2019–2022), so day visitors may face a walk of 1 to 4 km from where parking is allowed; cycling the forest bike paths is a good alternative. The last stretch crosses a steep, soft dune (about 15 minutes); use the marked paths to protect the vegetation. There is no step-free access and no shops nearby.
What visitors say
Visitors consistently praise the beach as one of the wildest and cleanest on the Gironde coast: fine sand, huge dunes and no commercial clutter. Naturist families and first-timers describe it as calm and welcoming. The main complaints, recurring since about 2019, are access: closed gates, banned roadside parking and long walks over the dunes. Some reviewers mention a mixed nude/clothed crowd on the public side and gay cruising in the dunes, especially at weekends.

Amenities
Legal context
The naturist section in front of La Jenny is run as part of the naturist village's beach, while the adjoining public beach is used nude by custom; we found no municipal by-law text or official listing confirming the designation. Nudity is long tolerated here, but cruising in the dunes can lead to indecent-exposure complaints.
Naturism at Plage de la Jenny sits under France's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
