About Myrtos Beach

Myrtos is a long beach of brilliant white pebbles at the foot of steep limestone cliffs in north-west Kefalonia, reached by a winding road down from Divarata. Its turquoise water makes it one of the most photographed beaches in Greece and very busy in summer. Nude bathing is not official, but naturist lists record informal nude use at the quieter ends of the beach, away from the sunbed area. The sea shelves steeply and can be rough, so take care swimming.

This Greece naturist beach is a clothing-optional place in a traditionally tolerated setting. Families are welcome.

Legal context

Naturism at Myrtos Beach sits under Greece's rules for traditional tolerance — custom more than statute.
