About Mounda Beach Nude
Mounda is a long, quiet sandy beach on the southern tip of Kefalonia, between Skala and Katelios, with views across to Zakynthos. It is far less developed than Skala, and naturists use the more secluded stretches away from the access points, where nude bathing is common but not required. Loggerhead turtles nest on this coast, so keep clear of marked nests and do not set up near them. Facilities are sparse, so bring water and shade.
Getting there
Reached by car via the coastal road from Skala (about 3 km) or Katelios, then a short walk onto the sand.
Legal context
Turtle-nesting protections apply on this coast. Greece has no national register of designated nudist beaches; nudity is formally sanctioned only at licensed naturist establishments, but on remote or traditionally nude beaches it is widely tolerated, and police generally act only if someone complains.
Naturism at Mounda Beach Nude sits under Greece's rules for traditional tolerance — custom more than statute.
