About Milia Beach
Milia is one of the most popular beaches on Skopelos, on the west coast near Neo Klima and north of Panormos, about 14 km from Skopelos Town. It is a long beach of fine pebbles facing the islet of Dasia, with clear water and a line of rocks that splits the shore into two parts. Most of it is organised, with beach bars, tavernas, sunbeds, umbrellas and water sports, and it gets busy in July and August, so nudity is not accepted on most of the shore. A local island guide notes that nudists use only the very left-hand end of the beach, informally, away from the sunbed areas. Skopelos's one beach generally described as the nude beach is Velanio, near Stafylos on the other side of the island; Milia's nude corner is a small, unofficial alternative for people staying on the west coast. Pine trees back parts of the beach and give some natural shade.
Getting there
Milia is signposted from the main coastal road between Skopelos Town and Glossa, about 14 km from Skopelos Town (roughly 20-25 minutes by car). A short road leads down to parking behind the beach. The island bus between Skopelos Town and Glossa/Loutraki stops on the main road above, from where it is a walk downhill. For the nude area, walk to the far left (southern) end of the beach as you face the sea.
Amenities
Legal context
Milia is not a designated nude beach; nudity is tolerated only informally at the far left end, away from organised areas. Greek law has no nude-beach designation system and public indecency rules can apply on busy beaches. No enforcement incidents found (2026).
Naturism at Milia Beach sits under Greece's rules for traditional tolerance — custom more than statute.
