About Långholmen badet
Långholmen is a wooded island in central Stockholm between Södermalm and Kungsholmen, best known for its former prison, now a hotel, and for Långholmsbadet, a small sandy beach with flat rocks and lawns that is one of the city's busiest summer swimming spots. Nude bathing is not part of that main beach. Wikipedia's list of European nude places records an unofficial, 'spontaneous' nude spot at the western end of the island. We found no other source describing who uses it, how many people go, or precisely where on the western rocks it is, so expect a small, informal spot rather than a recognised naturist beach. For a dedicated nude beach in the Stockholm area, Ågesta on Lake Magelungen is the designated option.
Getting there
Långholmen is about a 15-minute walk from Hornstull (T-bana red line) over Långholmsbron; the western end of the island is reached by footpaths through the park. There is little parking on the island. Paths are unpaved in places.
Amenities
Legal context
Not a designated nude beach. Nude bathing is not generally prohibited in Sweden, but naturists usually keep to designated beaches out of consideration for others (Sveriges Radio).
Naturism at Långholmen badet sits under Sweden's rules for traditional tolerance — custom more than statute.
