About Kalamitsi Nude Beach
Kalamitsi is a small resort village on the south-east coast of Sithonia, the middle peninsula of Chalkidiki, about 156 km from Thessaloniki. Its main bay is a semicircle of three sandy beaches with shallow, very clear water, sunbeds, a beach bar and tavernas, and is busy with families and campers in July and August. The nude beach is separate: a small, isolated bay to the north of the main beach (to the left as you face the sea), reached along the rocky shoreline. Travel writers describe it as the most isolated bay at Kalamitsi and an unofficial nudist beach. Campsite listings call it a rocky, lonely bay with a nudist beach you are allowed to visit. The cove has a mix of sand and rock, the water is calmer than on the main beach but can feel cool, and the surroundings are pine-covered hills and granite rocks typical of southern Sithonia. Regulars are mainly Greek and foreign campers from the campsites around Kalamitsi, who come for the day. There are no facilities in the cove, but the bars and tavernas of the main beach are a short walk away.
Getting there
Kalamitsi is on the coast road around southern Sithonia, between Sarti and Porto Koufo, about three hours' drive from Thessaloniki in high season. Park in the village or at the main beach; parking fills up early in July and August. From the north end of the main beach, follow the rocky shoreline north for about 10 minutes to the nude cove. The path is uneven, so wear proper shoes; it is unsuitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
What visitors say
Visitors describe the northern cove as quiet and secluded compared with the crowded main beach, with clear, calm water that can be a little cold. The crowd is mostly campers and day visitors, Greek and foreign, and the atmosphere is relaxed and clothing-optional. The main tips are to wear shoes for the 10-minute walk over the rocks, to arrive early in high season for parking, and to bring water as there are no services in the cove.

Legal context
Greece has no national register of designated nudist beaches; nudity is formally sanctioned only at licensed naturist establishments, but on remote or traditionally nude beaches it is widely tolerated, and police generally act only if someone complains. Nudity at Kalamitsi is customary only in the northern cove, not on the main family beach.
Naturism at Kalamitsi Nude Beach sits under Greece's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
