About Espace Naturiste de Paris
The Espace naturiste of the Bois de Vincennes is an official, seasonal naturist zone set up by the City of Paris in a public park on the city's eastern edge, in the 12th arrondissement. It was first opened in 2017, with the site chosen together with the Association des naturistes de Paris and the Fédération française de naturisme. Since then it has reopened each spring. It is a grassy meadow in the middle of the woods, just below the bird reserve, between the Allée Royale and the Route Dauphine. Wooden signs on the four paths leading in mark its edges. There is no water and it is not a beach. People come to sunbathe, picnic and read nude in the open air within reach of central Paris. A charter of good conduct is posted at the entrance, and the city states that voyeurism and exhibitionism are not tolerated. Naturists and clothed walkers can pass through, so the space is mixed. The Collectif Naturiste Urbain runs welcome sessions and group activities there.
Getting there
The zone is in the heart of the Bois de Vincennes, below the bird reserve, between the Allée Royale and the Route Dauphine. Follow the woodland paths to the wooden marker signs. The woods are reached by Paris public transport (Métro line 1 or RER A towards Vincennes), followed by a walk through the park. Paths are mostly flat earth and gravel. Parking in the Bois is limited and busy on sunny weekends.

Legal context
The City of Paris authorises naturism in this marked zone each season by municipal decree. In 2026 it is open from 29 March to 25 October, 8:00-20:30 until 30 September and 8:00-19:00 in October. Outside designated zones, undressing in public can be prosecuted as sexual exhibition (Penal Code art. 222-32, up to one year and EUR 15,000).
Naturism at Espace Naturiste de Paris sits under France's rules for officially designated nude beaches — explicit protection inside the marked area.
