About Brygga Ribersborgsbadet Naturistbad
Ribersborgsstranden is Malmö's city beach, a man-made strip of pale sand running south-west from the Ribersborgs Kallbadhus towards Limhamn, with a broad grassy park between the sand and the city. Sand was first brought in from the Öresund in the 1920s and topped up again in the 1990s. Numbered wooden jetties (bryggor) run out into the shallow sound, and the naturist area sits towards the far south-western end, around jetty 10. Malmö city's own heritage page for the beach notes that a naturist bath lies along this south-western part. Travel guides say the nude zone has been in use since the late 1990s and was moved further along the beach for more privacy. One listing says white-painted stones mark its edges and that the jetty gives straight access to deeper water, while the sand in front stays shallow for a long way. Expect a mix of locals from the city, from regulars sunbathing on the jetty to swimmers who come down after work. The open, unshaded setting faces west across the Öresund towards Copenhagen and the bridge, so evenings bring long sunsets but also wind.
Getting there
From Malmö Central station, bus 32 reaches the Ribersborg stops beside the beach in about five minutes. From the Kallbadhus end it is a flat walk south-west along the promenade and park paths to the naturist area near jetty 10, roughly 15-20 minutes. Cyclists can use the seafront cycle path. Street parking near the beach fills quickly on warm days. Paths across the park are paved, but the last stretch to the water is soft sand.
What visitors say
Guides and listings describe a relaxed, well-used city naturist area that is easy to reach by bus, with locals using the jetty for sunbathing and swimming straight into deeper water. People like the clean sand and the view across the Öresund. The zone is open to view from the rest of the beach and promenade, so it is less private than a remote beach. Since the area was moved further out, some visitors find it quieter. Shade is scarce and wind is common, so bring a windbreak.
