About Agios Sostis FKK Beach

Agios Sostis is a small, unorganised beach on the north coast of Mykonos, about 8 km from Mykonos Town, just east of Panormos bay. It is roughly 250 m of golden sand with clear water, overlooked by a white chapel of Agios Sostis on the slope above. Unlike the south-coast party beaches, there are no sunbeds, umbrellas or beach clubs, which is why it is one of the island's quieter beaches. Greeka notes that its seclusion has made it a favourite with nudists, and other guides agree that nude bathing happens mainly at the far end of the beach rather than across the whole bay, with clothed swimmers using the near end. Behind the chapel is Kiki's Tavern, a small taverna with a strong reputation; it takes no reservations and queues are common at lunchtime. A coastal path links the beach with Panormos.

Getting there

There is no bus to Agios Sostis, so you need a car, scooter, quad or taxi. From Mykonos Town take the road north toward Panormos and Agios Sostis. A small free parking area serves the beach but fills quickly in July and August; overflow parking along the access road can mean a 5-10 minute walk. The approach road is two-way but barely wide enough for one car. From the road a path leads down the hillside to the sand. Access is not suitable for wheelchairs.

What visitors say

Visitors like Agios Sostis as an antidote to Mykonos' crowded, music-filled south-coast beaches: no sunbeds, clear water and a calm, unhurried mood. Nude bathing is reported mainly at the far end, and textile and nude bathers coexist without fuss. Common complaints are the narrow access road and scarce parking in high season, so guides suggest arriving before about 10 am. Kiki's Tavern gets frequent praise for its food, though some find it pricey and the waits long.

Legal context

Greece has no national register of designated nude beaches; nude bathing is tolerated by custom at remote or long-established spots rather than authorised by law. No local ordinance or signage specific to this beach was found (2026), so keep to the customary area and cover up near families or where others object.

Naturism at Agios Sostis FKK Beach sits under Greece's rules for traditional tolerance — custom more than statute.
