About White House Club
A family club in five acres of garden on the south-facing slope of the North Downs near Caterham, a few minutes' walk from a railway station and about 45 minutes from central London. It has a pool heated to at least 28 C (open-air in summer, covered in winter), a tennis court, badminton, boules, snooker, a gym, a sauna and a playground. An eight-bedroom house with kitchen and bar can be booked by members.
Legal context & local rules
Public nudity in the UK is not inherently illegal, but is regulated under common law (outraging public decency) and Sexual Offences Act 2003 § 66 (indecent exposure). The key legal threshold is "intention to cause harassment, alarm or distress" or conduct that would "shock or offend" a reasonable person. Simply being nude in public is not a crime; the context and intent matter. British Naturism provides guidance on safe practice within law.

View all in United Kingdom →Abbot's Cliff
Abbot's Cliff is a remote beach at the foot of the chalk cliffs between Folkestone and Dover, on the eastern edge of the landslip country known as the Warren. Naturists have used it for more than fifty years. It is roughly 275 m long, a mix of sand, shingle and rocks with large boulders that act as windbreaks. The white cliffs behind it trap warmth when the wind is right, but there is no other shelter. With no road or facilities nearby, it is rarely crowded, and the whole beach, not a marked section, is used nude. Clothed visitors who camp and barbecue here in high summer have generally coexisted with naturists. Swimming is fine at most stages of the tide, but the water gets deep quickly near high tide and is dangerous in rough seas. The cliffs are actively unstable: a sudden chalk fall in 2006 sent sunbathers running, and falling-rock signs are posted, so do not sit directly underneath them. The views take in shipping in the Channel and sometimes the French coast. Seals, birds of prey and late-summer blackberries are common sights.
Aberlady Beach
Aberlady Beach (Gullane Sands) lies on the south shore of the Firth of Forth in East Lothian, inside the Aberlady Bay Local Nature Reserve just east of Aberlady village. British Naturism lists it as an unofficial naturist beach. Naturists use the second half of the beach, toward the headland, after walking out through the reserve. The setting is open and exposed: wide sands, dunes and saltmarsh with big views across the Forth, rather than a hidden cove, but the walk-in keeps it fairly quiet and nude bathers can usually walk to the water's edge to swim. The bay is tidal and very flat, so the sea retreats a long way at low tide. There are toilets at the car park but nothing on the beach. As a nature reserve, the dunes and birdlife should be left undisturbed, and dogs and visitors are expected to keep to paths.
Acorns Naturist Retreat
A naturist campsite at Creacombe Parsonage Farm near Rackenford, roughly halfway between Tiverton and South Molton in mid Devon. Directories describe a level 13-acre site with pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes and a few mobile homes for hire. Guests can use a pool with countryside views, a sauna, a hot tub and an indoor social area with bar and games. Nudity is required in the pool, sauna and hot tub.
Adventurers Sun Club
A members' naturist club in eight acres of Kent woodland between Maidstone and Sittingbourne. The grounds have sunbathing lawns, a clubhouse, a swimming pool and a sauna, and the club describes its atmosphere as family-oriented. Like most British landed clubs it is run by and for its members, so visits are arranged with the club rather than offered as a commercial day-pass venue.
Apollo Sun Club
Apollo sits in seven acres of Sussex countryside about eight miles from Brighton. It has a heated outdoor pool, a sauna, a large clubhouse and terrace, a barbecue and campfire area, games courts and a children's play area. Visitors can camp on tent and caravan pitches with electric hook-ups or rent the guest chalet, and the club welcomes first-time naturists as well as experienced ones.
Arcadians of Greenglades
A family membership club in 4.5 acres of woodland near Billericay in Essex. Facilities include a heated swimming pool, a sauna, a pavilion and clubhouse with kitchens, a children's play area, and courts for miniten and boules. Social events run year-round in the pavilion. The club does not take casual visitors: British Naturism members may visit by prior arrangement and must show their BN card.
