About El Portús (now TAIGA Costa Cálida)
This campsite at El Portús, about 10 km south-west of Cartagena, no longer runs as a naturist venue. It now trades as TAIGA Costa Cálida, a camping resort in the Taiga Resorts group, and its own website does not mention naturism. For decades it was Camping Naturista El Portús, a large terraced campsite in a south-facing bay facing the small Cala Morena cove. It was one of the best-known naturist campsites on Spain's Mediterranean coast and had touring pitches, rented mobile homes and chalets, pools and its own beach. It was a campsite, never a hotel. According to Murcia Today, the investment firm Newtown Capital S.L. took over the site in 2023 and rebranded it under Taiga. In May 2025 the company said the naturist side had been discontinued and that it would reopen in August 2025 with refurbished mobile homes, apartments, pools and restaurants, aimed at year-round tourism. The takeover was contested. Long-term residents said they were being forced out of their homes, and some filed complaints. Campaigners from the Cala Morena association protested about restricted access to the beach. The company denied forced evictions and said its works were legal. The sources we read do not say why naturism was dropped beyond the new owners' change of business model. Today the resort offers pitches, bungalows, safari tents and apartments, a summer outdoor pool, a heated indoor pool, a restaurant and a supermarket.
Legal context & local rules
This is now a commercial textile resort, and the operator does not advertise any naturist area. Access across the site to Cala Morena beach has been disputed under Spain's Coastal Law since 2025, and the regional coastal authority has reportedly started proceedings to secure pedestrian access.
Spain's legal framework for nudity is complex and regionally variable. Some interpretations suggest public nudity is constitutionally protected as part of personal development rights (Spanish Constitution). However, most regional autonomous communities and cities impose restrictions through local ordinances. Urban areas typically prohibit public nudity (Barcelona fines 300-500 EUR), while beaches are generally permissive. Federación Española de Naturismo (FEN) confirms legal naturism in designated beach areas. The Spanish Supreme Court (2023) ruled that mandatory nudity policies at private facilities are discriminatory but did not alter public space rules.

Frequently asked questions
Is El Portús still a naturist campsite?
No. It reopened as TAIGA Costa Cálida, and in 2025 the operator said the naturist side had been discontinued. Its website does not mention naturism.
Who owns it now?
Murcia Today reports that Newtown Capital S.L. took over in 2023. The site is now run under the Taiga Resorts brand.
Some booking sites still mention a naturist zone. Which is right?
Older third-party listings still use the naturist name or mention zones. The operator's own page does not mention naturism, so treat those listings as out of date unless the resort confirms otherwise.
Can I still reach Cala Morena beach?
Access through the site has been disputed since the renovation works. Check the current route locally before you go.

Aigües Blanques
Aigües Blanques (Aguas Blancas, listed by the Consell d'Eivissa as S'Aigua Blanca) is a beach of about 300 m on the north-east coast of Ibiza in Santa Eulària des Riu, below the village of Sant Carles de Peralta. It is the best-known nude beach in the north-east of the island. High clay cliffs ring the bay, and the sand is noticeably darker than on Ibiza's other nude beaches. The cliffs also put the beach in shade in the afternoon: direct sun is best from about 10:00 to 14:00. Nudity is traditional across the beach, but not universal. Guides say naturists tend to gather towards the ends, while clothed visitors cluster near the access point and the two beach bars. One part of the shore has a clay seam that visitors use for mud baths. In season there are sunbeds, parasols and lifeguards, though services are simpler than at Es Cavallet in the south. The beach faces east and north-east, so levante and gregal winds bring heavy surf. On those days the west-coast coves are calmer. Es Figueral, a separate beach, lies just to the south.
Aigüeta de Barbaruens
Aigüeta de Barbaruens is a nudist-friendly beach in Spain. Nudity is optional.
Antuerta
Antuerta is a small cove on the open Cantabrian coast in the municipality of Bareyo, next to the larger Arenal de Cuberris near Ajo, between Santander and Laredo. It is about 100 m long and 40 m wide, with golden sand, and is closed in at both ends by headland, rock and scrub, which keeps it secluded. The beach faces the full Atlantic swell. Conditions are windy with strong waves and currents, and it is a known surf spot. Occupancy is low even in summer. Spain's national tourism portal lists Antuerta as a nudist beach. Another beach database marks it as non-nudist, so expect a mix, with nude use most likely on quiet days and away from the surfers. There are no services beyond bins and regular cleaning, so bring water and shade. Flags warn of hazards, and lifeguard cover is listed in season, but the currents make it a poor choice for weak swimmers or small children.
Arenal de Sa Ràpita
Arenal de Sa Ràpita is a nudist-friendly beach in Spain. Nudity is optional.
