About FKK Camp Mali Raj
FKK Camp Mali Raj (Kamp Mali raj, 'little paradise') is a small naturist camp at Dolenje Polje, between Straža and Soteska near the spa town of Dolenjske Toplice in Lower Carniola, south-east Slovenia. It sits on the left bank of the Krka river and was set up as the first motorhome stop in Slovenia reserved exclusively for naturists. It is run by the naturist society Društvo naturistov Mali raj, founded in 2010, which belongs to the Slovenian naturist federation and the International Naturist Federation. The secured, lit site takes up to about 20 vehicles on grass and paved pitches, mostly motorhomes, with water, waste disposal, free toilets and showers, paid electricity, Wi-Fi, a washing machine and bread service. A sauna runs in winter. Guests can swim in the river, and a riverside footpath is reserved for naturists; fishing, boating, hiking and cycling are all close by, and the thermal spas of Dolenjske Toplice and Straža are a few kilometres away. Nudity is expected on site. Visitors consistently describe it as quiet, shady and very clean, with welcoming hosts. Dogs are allowed. The association also organises walks, meetings and work days for members.
Legal context & local rules
Nudity is lawful on private naturist sites in Slovenia; the riverside path reserved for naturists is part of the camp's own grounds.
Slovenia maintains a permissive legal environment toward naturism inherited from its Yugoslav heritage. While no explicit statute legalises nudity, cultural tolerance and the operation of major naturist spa facilities (Terme Olimia, Terme Laško) indicates de facto legal acceptance in designated venues and traditional naturist locations.

Bohinjsko Jezero
Lake Bohinj is Slovenia's largest natural lake, a glacial lake about 4 km long inside Triglav National Park in the Julian Alps, with cold, very clear water that reaches only about 20-22 °C at the height of summer. The shore is mostly narrow gravel and pebble beach backed by forest and meadow, with the main bathing spots at Ribčev Laz in the east, along the road on the south shore, and at Ukanc at the west end. Naturist use is linked to the west end: Camp Bohinj (formerly Camp Zlatorog), a lakeside campsite at Ukanc near the Vogel cable car, is listed in a Slovenian camping directory as catering to both textile and FKK guests with an FKK beach, while an international camping portal places a nudist beach about 5 km from the camp. Neither source says exactly where on the lake the nude area is, so expect a small, unmarked area used discreetly on a quieter stretch of shore rather than a signposted naturist beach. The lake is busy with families, swimmers and kayakers in July and August, and national-park rules restrict boats and activities on the water. Early mornings and the shoulder season are calmest.
Camping Smlednik (naturist section)
Camp Smlednik is a riverside campsite at Dragočajna, near the village of Smlednik, about 20 km north-west of Ljubljana on the road towards Kranj. It sits directly on the Sava and is mainly a textile site with pitches, bungalows, an outdoor pool, a restaurant, a supermarket and a children's playground. Part of the grounds is set aside for naturists: an enclosure beside the river with its own small beach, its own toilet and shower block, and electric hook-ups. One guide puts this area at roughly 30 by 100 metres with room for about fifteen units, so it is small and fills up in summer. It is one of the few naturist camping options in inland Slovenia and makes a quiet base for Ljubljana, Škofja Loka, Kamnik and Kranj. The season runs from May to mid-October.

Naturist Camp Sončni gaj (Terme Banovci)
The FKK naturist campsite at Terme Banovci is the naturist section of a thermal spa resort near Veržej in the Prlekija area of north-eastern Slovenia, in the Mura river plain. Opened in 1974, it bills itself as the first naturist camp in Europe with thermal water. The resort runs two campsites side by side: the textile Sončni gaj campsite, open all year, and the separate naturist area of about 50-62 grass pitches with electricity, open seasonally. Naturists have their own pool area for nude use, with a 36°C thermal pool with whirlpool, underwater massage jets and a waterfall, a 20°C Kneipp pool, an infrared sauna added in 2024, and a small Pannonian-style house with a bar. Camping guests can also use the resort's main thermal pools, about 2,000 square metres of water, and the wellness centre, where swimwear is required. Sanitary blocks were renovated recently. All-inclusive camping packages with half board are offered. Pets are allowed for a fee but not in the pools or restaurant.
