About Zurriola Hondartza
Zurriola is San Sebastián's surf beach, about 800 m of golden sand in front of the Gros district, between the mouth of the Urumea river and Monte Ulía. It is fully urban and heavily used, with a promenade, bike lane and the Kursaal congress centre at its western end. Its open position means strong waves and wind, which draw surfers year-round, especially at the eastern Sagüés end. Nude bathing is tolerated, and a naturist guide says nude bathers tend to gather in the stretch between the Urumea breakwater and the Kursaal building, away from the surf school area. Expect a mostly clothed crowd. Facilities are complete: lifeguards, showers, toilets, sunbed and umbrella rental, and sports areas. Note: the Spanish Naturist Federation is the only source we found that reports nude bathing here, and other guides do not mention it. Nude use may be occasional or limited to the quieter end, so expect most visitors to be clothed and check on arrival.
Getting there
The beach is a short walk across the Urumea bridges from the old town. City buses stop along Avenida de la Zurriola, and the Gros area has street and underground parking (paid). The promenade gives level access to the sand.

Naturism at Zurriola Hondartza sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
