About Zona Naturista El Confital
El Confital is a rugged, rocky-and-sand cove on the La Isleta peninsula at the northern tip of Las Palmas, with views back across the city's bay. It is the city's laid-back sunset, surf and picnic spot. Nude sunbathing takes place toward the northern end, between El Cabezón Negro and El Zoco, away from the boardwalk. There are almost no facilities. Note that bathing is officially prohibited after pollution problems, so treat it as a sunbathing spot rather than a swimming beach.
Getting there
Reached via Calle Coronel Rocha in La Isleta. You can walk or cycle from the north end of Las Canteras beach. Cars use a dirt access road.
Legal context
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has no reported anti-nudity sanctions. A 2016 press guide says the city council set up the nudist area at the north end, but we did not find this on an official page. Swimming has been prohibited since 2023 because of water quality.
Naturism at Zona Naturista El Confital sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.

Researched 24 October 2026. No official source confirms naturist status, so treat it as unverified.
