About Spiaggia del Troncone - Marina di Camerota

The Spiaggia del Troncone is on the Cilento coast in Campania, between Palinuro and Marina di Camerota, inside the Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park. The naturist stretch is about 400 m long and lies to the left (east) of the lido I Trettrè, in three coves divided by rocks. The first, nearest the access, is tiny and holds only seven or eight people. The second is about twice the size. The third and largest, with room for around 150 people, is reached by wading ankle-deep around the rocks when the sea is calm. The shore is a mix of pebbles, small stones and coarse sand, with clear water. FENAIT lists Troncone among Italy's official naturist beaches recognised by the municipality. The naturist association has pointed to it as an example of a naturist beach bringing tourism to the area.

Getting there

From the A2 motorway, take the Buonabitacolo exit and follow the superstrada towards Policastro, then towards Palinuro, along the Mingardo valley road (SS Mingardina). At the Palinuro/Marina di Camerota junction, turn left towards Marina di Camerota. After the second tunnel, pull over and park on the right. Walk down to the lido I Trettrè, then go left along the shore to the naturist coves. The third cove needs a short wade. There is no wheelchair access.
