About Sa Font Salada
Sa Font Salada (also written Sa Font Celada) is a small, remote cove on the rugged north-east coast of Mallorca in the municipality of Artà, between Cala Torta and Cap de Ferrutx. It is roughly 40 m of sand and stones with no buildings, no services and no paved access, and sees few visitors. The InSpain beach guide lists it as a nudist beach, and like neighbouring Cala Torta it is used by people looking for an undisturbed spot. Bring everything you need, including shade and water.
Getting there
Drive towards Cala Torta from Artà; the last part is an unpaved road, followed by a walk along the coast. The cove can also be reached by boat. There is no public transport and the paths are rough.
Legal context
Spanish law does not make simple nudity an offence (public-scandal offences were removed in 1988), so nude bathing is not illegal on Spanish beaches unless a municipal bylaw restricts it. No Artà bylaw on nudity at Sa Font Salada was found (2026); nude use is informal.
Naturism at Sa Font Salada sits under Spain's rules for traditional tolerance — custom more than statute.
