About Praia de Niñóns
Niñóns is a small, sheltered beach on the Costa da Morte in the municipality of Ponteceso, A Coruña. It sits at the head of an inlet between two hills, with fine pale sand and a small river, and is part of a protected coastal area. The beach is around 120 m long, and at its left end (looking at the sea) it joins the neighbouring O Morro beach, which FEN also lists as nudist. The Camiño dos Faros, a coastal walking route of about 200 km from Malpica to Fisterra, passes here, and a dirt track along the right-hand side of the beach leads about 1.5 km to a spot locals call the lago, where the sea pushes into the hillside. Occupancy is low. There is parking and, in summer, showers and toilets. The Spanish Naturist Federation lists Niñóns as a nudist-tradition beach, but other guides do not describe it as nudist, so nude bathers may be few. Note: the Spanish Naturist Federation is the only source we found that reports nude bathing here, and other guides do not mention it. Nude use may be occasional or limited to the quieter end, so expect most visitors to be clothed and check on arrival.
Getting there
Niñóns is reached from the Malpica-Ponteceso road, with unsupervised parking close to the beach. Buses serve the area. The beach is also a stop on the Camiño dos Faros coastal trail. There is no step-free access to the sand.
