About Praia de Lumebó
Lumebo is a small, wild beach on the Atlantic coast of Ferrol, A Coruña, in a protected Natura 2000 area. It is about 180 m of golden sand mixed with rock, with strong surf and wind and few visitors. It is hard to reach, which keeps it quiet and makes it a regular spot for nude bathers. There are no lifeguards or facilities of any kind. The waves make swimming dangerous on many days, so take care in the water.
Getting there
Turn off the DP-3608 at the Penencia junction and continue on foot; the final stretch is a steep, rough path, and some visitors also walk along the cliff from Doniños beach. Wear proper shoes. The nearest bus stop is about 1.5 km away. Not suitable for wheelchairs or anyone uneasy with heights.
Legal context
Spain has no national law against public nudity. Lumebo is listed by FEN as a nudist-tradition beach in a protected area; no local ban (checked 2026).
Naturism at Praia de Lumebó sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.

Naturist status confirmed against an official source on 24 October 2026.
