About Praia de Lariño
Lariño is a long, wild beach in Carnota on the Costa da Morte (A Coruña), at the mouth of the Corcubión estuary. Its southern part is an almost straight sandy strand of nearly 2 km. The northern part breaks up into sandy coves with large boulders, overlooked by the Punta Insua lighthouse, which marks the passage between Finisterre and the Corcubión estuary. Pine woods behind parts of the beach give shade for lunch on hot days. The surf is often strong and the beach windy. It is lonely and untamed, which FEN says lets nude bathing happen without problems. Kitesurfers also use it. Showers are listed, but there is no lifeguard.
Getting there
The beach lies beside the AC-550 coast road between Carnota and Cee. Park along the road or at the lighthouse end and walk a short way down to the sand. The northern coves near Punta Insua need a little scrambling over rocks.
