About Praia de Areiña Branca
Area Branca (Areiña Branca) is an undeveloped beach in Camariñas on the Costa da Morte, A Coruña, on the inner shore of the Camariñas ria, not far from where the ria opens to the Atlantic. It is a long strand of a little over a kilometre of white sand, around 30 m wide, backed by pine woods and well away from villages. Because it faces into the ria rather than the open ocean, the water is usually calm and the beach is sheltered from much of the wind that batters this coast. The Spanish Naturist Federation lists it as a beach of nudist tradition; the length and isolation make it easy to find space. Use is moderate in summer. There is no lifeguard, but there are showers, and an unguarded car park nearby.
Getting there
Area Branca is reached by local roads from Camariñas town; there is an unguarded car park for around 50 cars near the beach, from which a short walk through the pines leads to the sand. There is no public transport to the beach. The path is unpaved.

Legal context
Spanish law does not make simple nudity an offence (public-scandal offences were removed in 1988), so nude bathing is not illegal on Spanish beaches unless a municipal bylaw restricts it. No Camariñas bylaw on nudity was found; the beach is not officially designated, and nude use is by tradition recorded by FEN (2026).
Naturism at Praia de Areiña Branca sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.

Naturist status confirmed against an official source on 24 October 2026.
