About Porthzennor Cove

Porthzennor Cove is a rocky cove just below the village of Zennor on the north coast of the Penwith peninsula, between St Ives and St Just, sheltered on its west side by the headland of Zennor Head. British Naturism lists it in its directory of naturist beaches, describing it only as a rocky beach on the South West Coast Path. The shore is boulders and rock ledges rather than sand, so it suits sunbathing on the rocks and dips in calm seas rather than a beach day. It is close to a well-walked section of the coast path, so expect passing walkers. There are no facilities at the cove, but Zennor village is a short walk away.

Getting there

Park in the small car park in Zennor village, just off the B3306 between St Ives and St Just. Walk down the lane past the church towards Zennor Head and join the South West Coast Path, then take the rough path down to the cove; allow 15 to 20 minutes. The path is steep and rocky near the bottom and unsuitable for anyone with limited mobility. Seasonal buses serve Zennor.
