About Plaża Jablanova

Jablanova is a small pebble cove on the coast east of Baška, on the south-eastern tip of the island of Krk. It lies beyond the Bunculuka naturist campsite, between Bunculuka and the cove of Storišće, and can only be reached on foot or by boat, which keeps it quiet compared with Baška's long town beach. The beach is only about 60 metres long, made of fine pebbles with larger stones in the water, and the sea is clear and turquoise. Pine forest grows almost down to the shore and gives real shade, and a small bar serves drinks in summer. Jablanova is not a designated FKK beach: guides describe it as shared by naturists and people in swimsuits, so nude bathing is common but optional. The nearby Bunculuka campsite has the area's designated FKK beach. The atmosphere is relaxed and it is rarely crowded, though it fills more at weekends in July and August.

Getting there

From Baška, walk east past the Bunculuka campsite along the coastal path; guides put the walk at about 10 to 15 minutes from the centre, or about 10 minutes from the FKK campsite. The path is unpaved and not suitable for wheelchairs. Taxi boats from Baška harbour also stop at the coves east of town. Parking is in Baška itself (paid in season); there is no road to the beach.

What visitors say

Guides call Jablanova an insider tip: small, peaceful and romantic, with pine shade and a simple bar. They agree that naturists and clothed visitors share it without fuss, and that it is far less busy than Baška's main beach. Some note the stones in the water, so water shoes help.
