About Bay Bok (FKK Beach)

Bok bay is the naturist end of Sveti Duh beach in the Mandre area of Kolan municipality, on the island of Pag. Sveti Duh is a long sand-and-pebble beach on the Pag bay, looking across to the Velebit range, and it has a campsite of the same name behind it. The main beach is textile and has showers, toilets and beach bars; the nude section is reached by walking along the shore from the main access, and FKK signs mark where it begins. The shoreline there is a mix of flat rock and patches of sand, and the water is clear and shallow for a good distance out, which makes it comfortable for weak swimmers. There is no shade at all, and the usable strip of shore narrows as the tide rises during the day, so it pays to set up well back from the water. Most people on the naturist stretch are nude, with a few clothed walkers passing through. Passing boats occasionally send waves in. The beach is far quieter than the party beaches around Novalja further north.

Getting there

Follow the D106 between Novalja and Pag town and take the signed turn for Sveti Duh near Kolan/Mandre; the road is paved, then good gravel near the shore. The car park at Sveti Duh charges about 5 euros per day, cash only, with attendants who reportedly leave in the late afternoon. From there walk 5-10 minutes along the flat rocky shoreline to the FKK section; water shoes help. Seasonal buses link Zadar with Pag town and Novalja, but you need a taxi for the last stretch. Not wheelchair accessible.

What visitors say

The few visitor reports are positive: they praise the clear, warm, gently shelving water, the balance of rock and sand, and the clearly marked FKK area where nude bathers are the large majority. Downsides mentioned are the hot walk along the shore in midsummer, the lack of shade, tide reducing the space, and wash from boats. Reviews of the wider Sveti Duh beach and campsite note that showers and toilets near the main beach are basic.

Legal context

In Croatia nudity in public places is an offence under public-order law outside designated naturist (FKK) areas, which are normally signposted. The Bok section is marked with FKK signs according to visitor reports, but we found no tourist board or municipal document confirming its designation (checked 2026).

Naturism at Bay Bok (FKK Beach) sits under Croatia's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
