About Playa Valle Gran Rey
Playa de Valle Gran Rey, also called La Playa or La Puntilla, is the main urban beach of Valle Gran Rey on the west coast of La Gomera. It is about 1.4 km of dark volcanic sand and pebbles running along the seafront, with banana plantations behind, and the water is generally calm. There are showers and other town-beach services nearby. FEN lists it as a beach with nude use. In practice the valley's main nude beach is Playa del Inglés, a separate small beach of dark sand to the north-west, about 2 km from the Vueltas harbour, which official tourism sites describe as nudist; expect the town beach itself to be mainly clothed. Note: the Spanish Naturist Federation is the only source we found that reports nude bathing here, and other guides do not mention it. Nude use may be occasional or limited to the quieter end, so expect most visitors to be clothed and check on arrival.
Getting there
Valle Gran Rey is reached by road from the rest of the island. The beach runs along the La Playa and La Puntilla districts, with street parking and bus stops nearby. For Playa del Inglés, continue north-west past La Playa on foot along the coast.

Spanish law does not prohibit public nudity, and FEN notes that nudism is legal on any Spanish beach; this beach is on FEN's list of beaches with a traditional nude use. The town beach is mainly clothed; nude use concentrates at nearby Playa del Inglés (2026).
