About Playa Punta Gorda
Punta Gorda is a tiny rocky beach on the north-west coast of Gran Canaria in Agaete, near the Guayedra ravine and the El Risco area, set in untouched coast below cliffs. FEN gives it as about 50 m long and 15 m deep, mostly rock, with strong surf, few visitors and no lifeguard or showers. The swell is often heavy and swimming can be dangerous. Its isolation makes it a place for nude sunbathing rather than a swimming beach.
Getting there
The GC-2 coast road passes near the Guayedra ravine; from there you reach the beach on foot along the ravine. Puerto de las Nieves, Agaete's harbour, is about 8 km away. There are no services or shade.
Legal context
Spain has no national law against public nudity. Punta Gorda is listed by FEN as a nudist-tradition beach; there is no local ban (checked 2026).
Naturism at Playa Punta Gorda sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.

Naturist status confirmed against an official source on 24 October 2026.
