About Playa nudista Almarda
The nudist beach at the northern end of Sagunto's coast is Malvarrosa de Corinto, next to the Malvasur development, close to the boundary with Almenara and Castellón province. Together with Corinto it forms about 3.2 km of shore, and it is one of the few sections of this coast left in a natural state, backed by dunes covered in Mediterranean scrub. The beach is a mix of sand and coarse stones at the waterline, so beach shoes help, although the seabed is sandy once you are in the water. The sea is usually calm and the beach regularly flies a Blue Flag. The naturist section is cared for by the Asociación Naturista Camp de Morvedre, a member of the Spanish Naturist Federation, and the regional tourism portal tags the beach as naturist. Facilities include a summer lifeguard, parking, footbaths and toilets, with a seasonal mobile beach bar mentioned by local press. A campsite has direct beach access. Occupancy is generally low.
Getting there
From Valencia head north towards Castellón; after Sagunto continue on the N-340 to the exit marked Faura-Canet de Berenguer, then follow signs to Almardà-Malvarrosa. Small signs at the roundabouts between Puerto de Sagunto and Canet point to the northern Sagunto beaches. There is parking near the beach, and the naturist section lies beside the Malvasur development.
