About Playa Las Coloradas
Las Coloradas is a 230 m beach of dark sand and pebbles just outside Morro Jable, on the Jandía peninsula in the far south of Fuerteventura (Pájara municipality). It takes its name from the reddish cliffs behind it, which also give some shade, a rarity on this coast. The setting is undeveloped and occupancy is low. Nude bathing is the norm rather than the exception, and Spain's national tourism portal notes that nudism is practised here. The water has a moderate swell, and guides advise swimming only when the sea is calm. There are no facilities on the beach, though barbecue areas are near the car park.
Getting there
The beach is about 1 km from the Morro Jable marina, off the FV-2. Drive towards the end of the road beyond the town; parking is limited. From the parking area, an informal, uneven path leads down the cliff to the beach; take care. There is no direct public transport to the beach.
