About Playa Largo
Playa Larga is one of the named sections of the Grandes Playas de Corralejo, the long run of beaches along the east side of the Corralejo Dunes Natural Park in La Oliva, northern Fuerteventura. The dunes, the largest in the Canary Islands, have been a natural park since 1982. This section is about 800 metres long and wide, with golden sand, moderate waves and frequent wind, and looks across to the islands of Lobos and Lanzarote. The Spanish Naturist Federation lists it as a beach of nudist tradition. Guides note that the stretches further from Corralejo town are quieter and better suited to naturists, while the northern beaches nearer the town are more family-oriented and have services. Occupancy here is low. There is no lifeguard and no shower on this section.
Getting there
Playa Larga lies beside the road that runs south from Corralejo through the dunes park. Park at the roadside and walk a short distance over the sand. Services such as toilets, lifeguards and bars are at the beaches nearer Corralejo. The soft sand makes wheelchair access difficult.
