About Playa El Rebollo
El Rebollo, also known as Les Pesqueres-El Rebollo, is a natural beach in the municipality of Elche on the southern Costa Blanca, between La Marina and the mouth of the river Segura near Guardamar. It is around 1.2-1.4 km of fine golden sand, about 50 m wide, backed by a protected system of dunes, pine woods and palms. The northern end near the La Marina campsite has a boardwalk, a beach bar, toilets and lifeguards in summer; further south the beach becomes wilder, without services. The Spanish Naturist Federation lists El Rebollo as a nudist-tradition beach, and other sources describe both a nudist tradition and a gay section. Nude bathing is concentrated in the quieter southern part away from the campsite access. The beach usually flies a Blue Flag and occupancy is low compared with the urban beaches nearby.
Getting there
Reach the beach from the N-332 between Santa Pola and Guardamar; turn off near the Camping La Marina, where there is unsupervised parking and a boardwalk to the sand. A restaurant stands on the access road. Buses run in summer from Elche and from neighbouring San Fulgencio. For the quieter nude area, walk south along the shore towards the Segura mouth.
