About Playa Descojonado
Descojonado is a tiny boulder cove, about 50 m long and 8 m deep, on the remote west coast of Gran Canaria in La Aldea de San Nicolás. Mountains surround it and there is no development. The sea usually has a moderate swell. FEN and beach listings class it as a nude beach, and it sees very few visitors. There are no facilities. Nearby, Güi-Güi beaches further south are better known nude spots but much harder to reach.
Getting there
The cove is reached on foot from the GC-200 road near La Aldea; listings rate the walk as easy, but path details are scarce, so check a map before going. A local bus line serves La Aldea. Bring water and shoes suitable for boulders.
Legal context
Spanish law does not prohibit public nudity, and FEN notes that nudism is legal on any Spanish beach; this beach is on FEN's list of beaches with a traditional nude use. No local restriction is known (2026).
Naturism at Playa Descojonado sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
