About Playa d'en Bossa (Ibiza)

Platja d'en Bossa is Ibiza's longest beach, a broad sweep of pale sand running south from the edge of Ibiza town, in the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia. Most of its length is lined with hotels, beach clubs and bars and it is very busy in summer, with calm water and full services including lifeguards and showers. The Spanish Naturist Federation includes it in its list of beaches with nudist tradition and places it at the quieter southern end. We found no other source describing nude use here, and Ibiza guides send nudists to Es Cavallet, a short drive south. Treat it as a mainly clothed beach. Note: the Spanish Naturist Federation is the only source we found that reports nude bathing here, and other guides do not mention it. Nude use may be occasional or limited to the quieter end, so expect most visitors to be clothed and check on arrival.

Getting there

Buses run frequently from Ibiza town to Platja d'en Bossa, and the beach is close to the airport. Parking is available along the resort but is busy in summer. The southern end is reached by walking south along the sand.

Legal context

Spanish law does not make simple nudity an offence (public-scandal offences were removed in 1988), so nude bathing is not illegal on Spanish beaches unless a municipal bylaw restricts it. No Sant Josep bylaw on nudity at Platja d'en Bossa was found; the beach is not designated and nude use is recorded only by FEN (2026).

Naturism at Playa d'en Bossa (Ibiza) sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
