About Playa del Viejo
Playa del Viejo is one of the named sections of the Grandes Playas de Corralejo, the long white-sand beaches on the east coast of Fuerteventura that run beside the Corralejo Dunes Natural Park in La Oliva. FEN gives this section as about 1 km long, with golden sand, moderate and often windy surf, low use and a lifeguard. Behind it rises the pale dune field of the natural park, and Lobos island and Lanzarote are in view across the strait. Nude sunbathing is widespread along these beaches, especially in the hollows and stone windbreaks among the dunes away from the two big hotels on the sand. Wind is a constant, so many visitors use the low semicircular stone walls built as shelters.
Getting there
Drive south from Corralejo on the FV-1 through the dunes park; there are roadside parking areas along the road and short walks across the sand to the beach. Local buses between Corralejo and Puerto del Rosario run along the FV-1. The sand is soft, so wheelchair access is very limited.

Legal context
Spain has no national law against public nudity. The Corralejo dune beaches have a long nude-sunbathing tradition and FEN lists Playa del Viejo; there is no local ban (checked 2026).
Naturism at Playa del Viejo sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
Full country law: Spain public nudity guide.
Naturist status confirmed against an official source on 24 October 2026.
