About Playa del Trabucador
El Trabucador is a sandbar of about 6 km that links the Ebro Delta to the Punta de la Banya peninsula in Sant Carles de la Ràpita, Tarragona, within the Ebro Delta Natural Park. It is only about 150 m wide, with the open Mediterranean on one side and the calm Alfacs bay on the other, so you can watch both sunrise and sunset over water. The sand is golden and the sea shallow. It leads to the Trinitat salt pans and the bird reserve at La Banya, parts of which are closed to protect nesting birds. The far reaches are popular with naturists, as well as kite and windsurfers and birdwatchers: Audouin's gulls, flamingos and other species are common. In the shallows you can wade far out. There are no services.
Getting there
From Poblenou del Delta, follow the road to the start of the Trabucador. Cars may only use about the first 2 km of the bar; beyond that you continue on foot or by bike. In July and August access is regulated, and the town has charged for vehicle access (about €5 for cars); booking a parking place through La Ràpita's tourism site is advised. No shade.
Amenities
Legal context
Spain has no national law against public nudity. El Trabucador is a FEN nudist-tradition beach inside a natural park; restrictions here concern vehicles and bird areas, not nudity (checked 2026).
Naturism at Playa del Trabucador sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
Full country law: Spain public nudity guide.
Naturist status confirmed against an official source on 24 October 2026.
