About Playa del Pozo

Playa del Pozo is one of the Grandes Playas of Corralejo in the north of Fuerteventura, lying in front of the protected Corralejo dunes natural park. It has about 450 m of fine, pale golden sand that runs back into the dunes, with a moderate swell and a lot of wind, which makes it popular with windsurfers. Nude bathing is widespread across the Grandes Playas. Here many visitors shelter in the low horseshoe-shaped stone walls (corralitos) built on the sand as windbreaks, and these give a degree of privacy for nude sunbathing. Occupancy is generally low. There are kiosks renting sunbeds, umbrellas and water-sports gear, and FEN lists a lifeguard in season.

Getting there

The beach lies beside the FV-1 road that runs through the dunes park between Corralejo and Puerto del Rosario. Park along the road or in the roadside car parks and walk a short distance over the sand. Local buses along the FV-1 stop near the Grandes Playas. The walk is easy but there is no natural shade.
