About Playa del Morro de Potala
Morro de Potala is a beach on the south-east coast of Fuerteventura's Jandía peninsula, in the municipality of Pájara, one of a string of beaches between Costa Calma and Morro Jable where naturists and clothed visitors have long shared the shore. It is around 300 m long and 25 m deep, a mix of rounded stones, gravel and sand, with dunes behind and moderate, often wind-whipped water. It is isolated and occupancy is low; there is no lifeguard or showers, though a guide mentions a beach kiosk nearby. The Spanish Naturist Federation lists it as a nudist-tradition beach, and the national tourism portal also records nudism here. Nearby beaches used in the same way include Butihondo and Las Coloradas. The trade wind blows most of the year, so a windbreak is worth bringing.
Getting there
Morro de Potala lies just off the FV-2 road that runs down the Jandía coast towards Morro Jable. Park near the road and walk a short distance over sand to the shore; access is described as easy. Local buses run along the FV-2, though stops are spread out. There is no paved path onto the beach.
