About Playa del Camello
El Camello is a stretch of boulder shore below the cliffs of Tacoronte, on Tenerife's green and wilder north coast. FEN lists it as isolated, about 400 m long and 20 m deep, made of boulders and rock, with moderate surf, low use and no lifeguard or showers. It is not a swimming beach in the usual sense: getting in over the rocks is awkward and the sea is often rough. What it offers is solitude under the cliffs, which is why a small number of naturists come here. Bring sturdy footwear.
Getting there
The nearest road is the TF-165 coastal road in Tacoronte; from there you walk down to the shore. No facilities, no lifeguard and no shade. Not suitable for wheelchairs.
Legal context
Spain has no national law against public nudity. El Camello is listed by FEN as a nudist-tradition beach; there is no local ban (checked 2026).
Naturism at Playa del Camello sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
