About Playa del Ámbar
El Ámbar is a small, isolated beach on the remote south-west coast of Gran Canaria in the municipality of Mogán, close to the Veneguera ravine. The Spanish Naturist Federation lists it as a nude beach and describes a shore about 220 m long and 17 m wide of gravel and sand, with calm water and few visitors. There are no lifeguards, showers or other services, and the surrounding coast is steep and undeveloped. Beyond these basics, little detailed information was found.
Getting there
There is no road to the beach. It is reached over rough ground from the Veneguera area or by boat; bring water, food and shade, and wear sturdy shoes. Not accessible for wheelchairs.
Legal context
Public nudity is not an offence under Spanish national law, and the Spanish Naturist Federation lists this beach as one with a tradition of nude use. No local ban on nudity here is known (2026).
Naturism at Playa del Ámbar sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.

Naturist status confirmed against an official source on 24 October 2026.
