About Playa De Vueltas
Vueltas is the small town beach beside the fishing and ferry port of Vueltas in Valle Gran Rey, on the west coast of La Gomera. It is about 150 m long and 25 m wide, with dark volcanic sand and calm water sheltered by the harbour. It is an urban beach with a tourist office, bins and cleaning nearby, and it is popular with divers. Spain's national tourism site states that naturism can be practised in one part of the beach, but this is mainly an ordinary harbour-side beach used by families and locals; the valley's established nude beach is Playa del Inglés, about 2 km away at the other end of Valle Gran Rey. News reports have mentioned partial closures of Vueltas beach, so check its current status locally.
Getting there
Vueltas beach is in the village of Vueltas, next to the port, and is reached easily on foot from the harbour and the village streets. There is parking in the village, and buses serve Valle Gran Rey. The access is flat and short.
Legal context
Public nudity is not an offence under Spanish national law, and Spain's official tourism site says naturism is permitted in one area of this beach. It is an urban harbour beach, so discretion is advisable; parts of the beach have been closed at times (2026).
Naturism at Playa De Vueltas sits under Spain's rules for officially designated nude beaches — explicit protection inside the marked area.
Full country law: Spain public nudity guide.
Naturist status confirmed against an official source on 24 October 2026.
