About Playa de Trengandín
Tregandín (also spelled Trengandín) is the longest beach in Noja, Cantabria: a wide arc of fine golden sand about 3.7 km long and up to 200 m deep, running from the town east to the headland of Punta del Brusco. The end nearest Noja is a busy holiday beach with lifeguards and showers. The far end, by Punta del Brusco, is wilder and more scenic, and the Spanish Naturist Federation says it is where nude bathers, along with dog walkers, usually settle. At low tide dark rock platforms covered in bright green seaweed emerge along the shore, full of rock pools that children enjoy exploring. The sea is moderate and the beach can be windy. Because the nude area is so far from town, it stays relatively quiet even in summer.
Getting there
Rather than walking the whole beach from Noja, FEN recommends starting from the Helgueras district, roughly halfway along, where there is parking; from there head east along the sand towards Punta del Brusco, the most natural stretch. Lifeguards and showers are at the town end. The walk is flat but on sand, and the time depends on the tide.

Legal context
Public nudity is not an offence under Spanish national law. FEN lists Tregandín as a beach of nudist tradition at its Punta del Brusco end; the town end is an ordinary family beach. No local ban is known (2026).
Naturism at Playa de Trengandín sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.
