About Playa de Tauro
Tauro is a beach at the mouth of the Tauro ravine in Mogán, on the south-west coast of Gran Canaria, between Puerto Rico and Puerto de Mogán. FEN lists it as about 440 m long, a mix of boulders, gravel and sand, with moderate surf, medium use and no lifeguard or showers, in a semi-urban setting next to the Tauro development. The surrounding coast is a protected area. Information on nude use here is thin and contradictory. Note: the Spanish Naturist Federation is the only source we found that reports nude bathing here, and other guides do not mention it. Nude use may be occasional or limited to the quieter end, so expect most visitors to be clothed and check on arrival.
Getting there
Signposted off the GC-500 coast road at Tauro, between Puerto Rico and Puerto de Mogán, with roadside parking nearby. Buses along the GC-500 stop close to the turn-off.

Legal context
Spain has no national law against public nudity. FEN lists Tauro as nudist-tradition, but a beach guide marks it non-nudist and one aggregator claims nudity is prohibited; we found no ordinance confirming a ban (checked 2026).
Naturism at Playa de Tauro sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.

Naturist status confirmed against an official source on 24 October 2026.
