About Playa de Punta Blanca
Punta Blanca is a tiny, remote beach on the wild north coast of Fuerteventura in La Oliva, on the track between Majanicho and El Cotillo. It is only about 90 metres long and a dozen metres deep, a strip of golden sand mixed with gravel between low volcanic rock, backed by small dunes. The water is usually calm inside the rocks even though the coast is windy. The Spanish Naturist Federation lists it as a beach of nudist tradition, and the InSpain directory also marks it as nudist. There is nothing here: no buildings, no shade, no lifeguard and no showers, and occupancy is low. Its appeal is solitude and the bare lava landscape of the north coast; it is a place to stop for a swim on a drive along the track rather than to spend a day with facilities.
Getting there
Punta Blanca is reached on the unpaved coastal track that links Majanicho with El Cotillo, off the FV-109; it is about 2 km from Majanicho and roughly 8 km from El Cotillo along the track. Directories list access on foot or by car along the track. No public transport serves it and there is no wheelchair access.
