About Playa de Punta Bela
Punta Vela (spelt Punta Bela in some listings) is a narrow strip of shore near Bolnuevo in Mazarrón, on the Murcian coast. FEN describes it as isolated and lightly used, about 145 m long but only around 7 m deep, made up of rounded stones and rock rather than sand, with moderate surf. There is no lifeguard and no showers. It lies on the same stretch of undeveloped coast as several better-known Mazarrón naturist coves, including Cueva de Lobos, Cala Desnuda, Cala Leño and La Grúa, which makes this area one of the main naturist corners of the Region of Murcia. Beyond FEN's data sheet, we found little detailed information about this particular spot.
Getting there
Reached from the coastal road west of Bolnuevo, which serves the string of coves on this stretch; the last part is on foot over rough ground. There are no facilities and no shade. Not suitable for wheelchairs.
Legal context
Spain has no national law against public nudity. Punta Vela is listed by FEN as a nudist-tradition beach; Mazarrón's coast has several long-established naturist coves and we found no local restriction (checked 2026).
Naturism at Playa de Punta Bela sits under Spain's rules for de facto tolerance — usually left alone if you keep it non-sexual and low-drama.

Naturist status confirmed against an official source on 24 October 2026.
